Chef Monica Yang

Chef Monica Yang discovered her passion for cooking at a young age. Growing up in the Philippines she was able to develop a deep appreciation for local ingredients and culinary traditions. That appreciation was fueled by weekends cooking with her dad and baking with her mom. They explored a wide range of cuisines, and every weekend was centered around the joy of planning their next meal together. 

Chef Yang’s professional career has sent her around the globe, having worked in the Philippines, France, and the United States. She loves to travel and learn about different cultures, always centering her itinerary around the local cuisine. 

When at home in Oregon, Chef Yang likes to stay in with a good book or enjoy the beauty of the Pacific Northwest by hiking, crabbing, and making plenty of jam in the summer.
